演讲人简介:

   陈嘉宇博士结业于北京交通大学 ,,并于美国哥伦比亚大学获得硕士及博士学位 。。。曾于美国弗吉尼亚理工大学作为助理研究员 ,,现就职于香港都会大学修建及土工工程系作为副教授 。。。陈嘉宇博士的研究包括工程领域脑机交互、人因传感系统、及都会修建数字孪生 。。。陈嘉宇博士曾主持国家自然科学基金(NSFC)及香港研究金(GRF)等多项科研项目 ,,并担当香港屋宇署 ,,香港民政事务署 ,,香港生长局等手艺委员会成员 。。。陈嘉宇博士已揭晓SCI期刊论文54篇 ,,曾为凌驾24本工程治理及修建领域期刊、凌驾200篇论文举行审稿 。。。

 

演讲内容简介:

    Construction and other labor-intensive industry suffer from losses due to fatalities and injuries. Since more than 70% of all accidents are related to human activities, detecting and mitigating human-related risks hold the key to improving the safety in labor working environment. Recent studies in the area of neural science and psychology suggest that inattentional blindness is one major cause of unexpected human related accidents. Due to the limitation of human mental workload, laborers are vulnerable to unexpected hazards while focusing on complicated tasks. Therefore, the ability to detect the mental conditions of workers could reduce unexpected injuries. In this seminar, Dr. Jiayu CHEN will share his recent research progress in developing quantitative measurement approach to evaluate hazards through neural time–frequency analysis on human kinematic-mental signals. This research implemented wearable EEG and motion capturing system to proposed a digital monitoring platform for workers’ attention and vigilance assessment. Based on the results, theoretical models were constructed for risk assessment during working activities.
